At St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Monte Vista, CO, we believe that God works through His Word.

Our Vicar, Joshua Cody, is currently in seminary with Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne Indiana. Through this connection to one of the two seminaries in the LCMS, we as a church, are receiving Word and Sacrament ministry as prescribed in the Book of Concord. As the oldest Lutheran church in the San Luis Valley, we are a confessional Lutheran congregation who believe the Bible to be God’s Word to man and understand its teaching through the interpretation of the Book of Concord .
